Edith Nawakwi is reportedly UNWELL prompting the court to reschedule her defense to 20thJanuary, 2025.

This is in a case, in which the Forum for Democracy and Development -FDD leader, is charged with seditious practices.

This follows an application by her lawyers.

The Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has found Lumezi member of Parliament Munir Zulu with a case to answer in the matter he is facing three charges of libel.

This is in the case Zulu accused Minister of Finance and National Planning Situmbeko Musokotwane, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Minister Charles Milupi and Road Development Agency board chairperson Mulchanda Kuntawala of being involved in corrupt financial transactions.

When the matter came up for ruling, Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili stated that his ruling follows a detailed examination of evidence and submissions from the state which established a prima facie case.

National Democratic Congress party leader Saboi Imboela has been fined K25,000 or serve 9 months simple imprisonment in default.

 

This is for defaming State House Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka.

Magistrate Sylvia Munyinya found Imboela guilty on the two counts of libel from Facebook posts.

She accused Mr Hamasaka of being adulterous and corrupt, allegations she failed to substantiate.
